Romanov Red, a product of United Spirits, is the official sponsor of the music festival in association with Force India, Pepsi, VH1, Hindustan Times and Daily News and Analysis.

Along with Backstreet Boys and Marx, the fest will be joined by South African explosive alternative band Prime Circle, drummer Jayce Lewis, supported by Indian bands Swarathma and Indigo Children.

The festival will be held at NSIC Grounds, on February 20 in New Delhi, followed by a show in Bangalore on February 22 at Gayatri Vihar, Palace Grounds.

The costs of the tickets are Rs 1,500 in Delhi and Rs 1,000 in Bangalore.

‘Ishqiya’ Outshines ‘Rann’ at Box Office

Recently released 'Ishqiya', outshines Amitabh Bachchan starrer 'Rann' at box office. Vishal Bhardwaj, whose previous movie 'Kaminey' was a big hit, produced 'Ishqiya'.

Both the star-studded movies were released on Friday, 29 January. But The 'Ishqiya' in comparison to 'Rann' performed better. In the opening weekend 'Ishqiya' recorded almost 80 percent collections but the collection of 'Rann' was around 30%.

The corporate head (cinemas) of Wave Cinemas, Mr. Yogesh Raizada told reporters, "'Ishqiya' has got a strong opening in both Delhi and Uttar Pradesh in both multiplexes and single-screens. It has got around 80 percent business over the initial weekend."

Mr. Raizada also said, "The dialogue delivery in the movie is very good and it is a typical masala movie but the drawback is that everyone might not like it because it has its own class. While ‘Rann’ is gripping but has managed only around 30 percent opening. There has been no initial for this one. It has its own class but no mass appeal."

Delhi-based distributor Mr. Joginder Mahajan said, "'Rann' has fared very poorly thanks to its subject. 'Ishqiya' on the other hand has been average vis-a-vis 'Rann'. It is an ordinary affair with local appeal. Though the masses are watching it but the film is not for everyone because some are finding it a bit cheap."

He added, “Surprisingly, ‘Ishqiya’ is performing better in multiplexes and not in B and C sectors. We are expecting it to earn an average Rs.2 crore overall in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh."

“Ishqiya” which is directed by debutant Abhishek Chaubey, has actors like Naseeruddin Shah, Vidya Balan and Arshad Warsi. On the other hand 'Rann' is directed by experienced director Ram Gopal Verma and has big stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Paresh Rawal and Riteish Deshmukh. Even than 'Ishqiya' outshined big budget movie "Rann" with its simple but attractive story and brilliant direction.

According to an industry source, "The failure of 'Rann' has again given a dud out of Ram Gopal Varma's camp. While 'Ishqiya' has the rustic and poetic appeal very common to Vishal Bhardwaj. No matter whatever the fate, his movies somehow do manage to leave an effect on the audiences’ minds.

But this was the first time when any Bollywood musician won the prestigious Grammy Awards.

Leslie Kenton: “I Was Raped by My Dad”

Famous beauty expert Leslie Kenton has revealed in her new memoir "Love Affair" that she was raped by her own father when she was 11 and that the secret incest lasted until she was 13.

According to website reports, four years ago, Kenton first contemplated writing about her childhood and "Love Affair" in which she gave full account of the horrors and the secret incest relation.

Leslie told reporters, "My friend Gail Rebuck, who was my first editor and is now the chairman of Random House, told me, ‘You need to write a memoir.’ I said, ‘Gail, I can’t. No one would believe it, and the tabloids would go wild.’ And Gail said, ‘Who cares? This book will be the bridge between what you have done before and the work you will do afterwards.’”

The beauty guru is considered as the priestess of the real beauty movement for decades. She advocated high-raw, high-vegetable diets and detoxifying, way back in the 70's. She had created the Origins range and imported the skincare tablet Imedeen to Britain. Leslie has made her brilliant present from a murkier past.

Talking about the book, Kenton said: “It ripped me to shreds”.

In the book she has wrote about the summer of 1952, when she met her father Stanley on his dance tour, sharing his hotel room, sleeping back to back. He was heavy drinker and Kenton who was just 10 was trying to control her dad. He was, in many ways, treating her as a substitute for his wife Violet. One night the final boundary was crossed and he raped his daughter. It was the beginning of an incestuous relationship that lasted until she was 13.Throwing light on their relation Kenton said, "I believe he tried his best to resist touching me. Then, drowning in a sea of alcohol, he would come to my bed, only to deny the next morning that he’d been there. This was not cynical. Stanley had become so skilled in keeping secrets he could hide his guiltiest one even from himself."

Kenton who did not blame her father for incestuous relationship said, "He was born into guilt. As a child, he was taught by his mother, ‘There’s something wrong with you, Stanley.’ From talking to relatives, Leslie has learnt of a highly dysfunctional family with a history of manipulation, neglect and bizarre cult-like rituals."

“I do not know how to express the damage that a family like this does. This is a disease that’s passed on. Some people survive it and others are deeply damaged.”

According to Kenton she thinks that her father experienced a condition known as dissociative identity disorder, involving selective amnesia, which she also developed as she blocked out the incest.

While working on the book, Kenton retreated to her rambling house perched atop an extinct volcano on New Zealand’s South Island.

Kenton dedicated her book "Love Affair" to her father. In the tribute she has written, "For Stanley, with all my love".

Film Review:Produced by Vishal Bhardwaj "Ishqiya" is another out standing movie set on the backdrop of Western Uttar Pradesh, Gorakhpur. The movie which was released on this Friday is directed by debutant director Abhishek Chaubey.

Written by Vishal Bhardwaj, Abhishek Chaubey and Sabrina Dhawan, Ishqiya is a story of love triangle between two thieves (Naseeruddin Shah and Arshad Warsi) and a widow (Vidya Balan).

Film starts with Naseeruddin Shah (Khalujaan) and Arshad Warsi (Babban), two thieves of Uttar Pradesh, running from their boss after taking off all his money. They both reach Gorakhpur, to meet an old friend but discover that he is dead. His widow, Krishna (Vidya Balan) gives them shelter. After which the story of complicated love triangle with the series of kidnappings, deaths and blow-ups starts. The climax of the film is unconventional and surprising.

On the acting front, all the three actors have given good performances. Talented actor Naseeruddin Shah as Khalujaan, 51 year old thief in the film has done full justice with his character as was expected. He has wonderfully depicted the emotion of aging lover who wants to live a peaceful life after spending many years in the world of guns and gangsters.Arshad Warsi who is considered as the average actor, surprised everyone, he looked very convincing as young thief from Uttar Pradesh. Last but not least Vidya as Krishna has given tremendous performance. She played the role of sexy, deceptive women who seduces both men cunningly and uses them to fulfill her intentions.

Director Abhishek Chaubey made the film with full conviction and created an interesting drama with new twists. He has very tactfully served a spicy treat of comedy and suspense before audience.

Cinematographer Mohana Krishna Agapu has done marvelous job. The background score and music of film is quite nice and Vishal Bhardwaj has composed nice songs with catchy folk music touch.

The movie is sure to attract a lot of audiences specially the young college going students but some parts of the movie in which some abusive words have been used might seem offensive to family audience.

After giving many flop films, Ramgopal Varma seems to be bouncing back with his new release Rann'. Rann is a serious movie which exposes media, industrialists and politician's connections. It also discloses media giants' game that how they sensationalize simple news for popularity and ratings.

Written by Rohit Banawlikar 'Rann' is a social drama which is woven around the founder of a private news channel 24/7, Vijay Harshvardhan Malik (Amitabh Bachchan) who is a hardcore upholder of journalistic ethics. Vijay's struggling channel is looked after by his son Jay Malik (Sudeep). Jay considers her father's news channel purely as a business enterprise that must make profits to survive.

Vijay's rival Amrish Kakkar (Mohnish Bahl) who was once his employee is gaining profits by making the news sensational.

The twist in the story comes when corrupt politician, Mohan Pandey (Paresh Rawal), a Prime Minister position aspirant, decides to use the channel 24/7 for his own advantage by using Vijay’s son-in-law Navin (Rajat Kapoor).

Navin who wants to be No 1 industrialist persuades Jay to make a deal with Pandey. The climax of the film is filled with great dialogues and powerful performance from Big B.

Performances of all the actors are good. Amitabh Bachchan has done full justice with his character and his dialogue delivery is quite impressive. Another actor who made his mark is Sudeep. Ritesh Deshmukh is nice in his role. But his part as investigator looks a bit confusing in the film.

Paresh Rawal, who enters in Ramu's camp after a long gap, has delivered tremendous performance in a negative role. Rajat Kapoor is flawless. Mohnish Bahl too has given a wonderful performance.

Other actors like Neetu Chandra, Gul Panag, Nina Kulkarni, Simone Singh and Suchitra Krishnamoorthy are average. Rajpal Yadav has done a good job of adding some funny touch to a serious movie.

The strength of the film is its strong story and powerful performance. Solid dialogues are one more plus point of the film. The cinematography of Amit Roy is quite noticeable. Direction of RGV is amazing as usual. Background score of the film is impressive and music is good.

The movie gets heavy at some points which can causes boredom. There is no masala in the film so people who like light-hearted and fun-filled cinema might not appreciate the film much.

Renowned Hollywood actress Sandra Bullock has hired a detective. No, not for disclosing her husband's secretes but to find out her missing pet dog Cinnabun.

According to the reports Sandra and her husband Jesse James hired pet detective Colleen Busch from agency Find Toto. Colleen Busch told reporters, "I'm in contact with Sandra and Jesse all day. We've been going back and forth checking on tips."

The couple's pet went missing from their house, Seal Beach, California, since January 25. Along with hiring a detective, the couple has started an online campaign to raise awareness of the missing pet and help bring her home safely.

James who runs West Coast Choppers Motorcycle Company wrote a massage on company's website, appealing: "We've had a few leads, but all dead ends so far, but the search is still definitely on. She's a great little dog, and we want to find her as soon as possible."

According to website news the 19-year-old was trying to enter into the Ed Hardy Shoes Happy Hour event in Park City on January 23. But a bouncer stooped her as she is two years short of the legal drinking age in the US.

An onlooker said, "As they started walking in, the bouncer stopped them and asked for their IDs. When he informed Kirsten that she couldn't enter because she was underage, she and her friends seemed pretty surprised."

The person added, "Her friends tried to reason with the bouncer and told them that they just wanted to sit down and relax for 30 minutes but the bouncer still declined them. They huddled up for a few minutes, discussing what to do next and eventually left."

Psychologist, Dr. Alan Grieco said, "I am cautious and a little leery of the term sex addiction."

Professor Ginger Manley who is a certified sex therapist at Vanderbilt University said, "In the field of psychiatry, there’s not a clear agreement about whether or not it’s even a diagnosis."

The cases of sex addiction are very few and person with such problems do not come forward until their life gets ruined (like Woods). According to the experts, 75 percent to 80 percent of the patients who seek treatment for sex addiction are men. Men are nearly three times more likely to fall into that category of sex addiction than women.

Dr. Alan Grieco said, "In my opinion, monogamy does not come naturally to most men. We can do it, but it’s a struggle. … If an attractive woman throws herself at a guy and he thinks he can get away with it, he will – married or not – have sex."

Dr,Grieco also says that athletes and rich people are tempted by women, as doctors are surrounded by and tempted by prescription drugs. “These opportunities challenge our human frailties. We're all weak; some of us have stronger boundaries. But for younger males, who have high levels of success and opportunity, it's a gauntlet out there."

According to the research, hormone testosterone which is responsible for sexual activities is linked with success and failure. Men who are told they're great have higher testosterone levels than men who’ve been chewed out by the boss.

Dr. Grieco said, "That’s not to say that a man can’t say no. Testosterone doesn’t make anybody do anything. But it primes the pump. It’s a heady mixture of hormones and success."

But what is the difference between Sex addiction and healthy sexual appetite? When sex becomes addiction is based, in part, on how much time you spend on sex and fantasies. The current definition of sexual addiction comes from Patrick Carnes, the therapist whose staff is reportedly treating Woods. Dr. Patrick Carnes directs the sexual-addiction program at Pine Grove Behavioral Health and Addiction Services in Hattiesburg. He is recognized as a pioneer in treating sexual addiction. He defines the addiction based in part on the time someone spends on sex.

Dr. Grieco says, "If you’re spending over 14 hours a week – or two hours a day – doing something sexual or quasi-sexual, like cruising the Internet for porn or cruising the streets looking for a particular type of prostitute, you’re in the addictive range."

Treatment of sexual addiction relies heavily on 12-step programs, much like Alcoholics.

Dr. Manley said, "It takes enormous courage to walk into a meeting of complete strangers and say, ‘Hello, my name is John Doe, and I’m a sex addict. It's not as hard for drug and alcohol addiction, because there have been so many people who have been through it. Sex addiction is about the most shameful of all the addictions.”

In addition to 12-step programs, some therapists treat patients with talk therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy and even antidepressants, which blunt the sex drive.

According to sex therapist Toni Furbringer regardless of the type of treatment, sex addicts – like other addicts – frequently relapse. The problem is that they can never escape those salacious mental images they’ve created – whether it’s pornography or experiences with another person.

She said unfortunately you can not escape from yourself as “You cannot get those images out of your mind. And that's one of the things the sex addicts. I work with say: "It's there all the time. Even if I control my behavior, I have to constantly watch my thoughts."

So, is this the fate of Sex addict that they can not overcome this addiction? But there is always a ray of hope, keep the faith and control the thoughts constantly, this is the only way to get rid of this evil.
