Chatur of ‘3 Idiots’, is the New Sensation of Bollywood

Omi Vaidya who is popularly known as Chatur of '3 Iditos', has done only one film in Bollywood and instantly become the center of attraction for all. The US based actor is currently busy in getting compliments for his acting skills.

The 27 year old actor played the role of Chatur Ramalingam aka 'the Scilencer' in "3 Iditos". In the movie, Chatur is a young Engineering student who was born in Uganda, studied in Pondicherry and whose Hindi is bit slow.

Omi, who is said to be an established actor in Hollywood got overwhelming response for playing the character of compulsive and sadistic geek. In a recent interview Omi told reporters, "When I was at the premiere of “3 Idiots”, no one recognized me. I was a bit depressed but when it got over, it was difficult for me to even get out of the theatre. I have been enamored by the love and appreciation I have received from the audience."

He also said, "Today, when I go out on streets, people come and shake hands with me… It feels nice."

Though the movie "3 Idiots" starred by the well known stars Aamir Khan, Sharman Joshi and R. Madhavan but Omi steal the show. Nobody can forget his rib tickling speech on 'Teachers Day', which he just delivers without knowing the real meaning in the movie.

Omi, the secret package of the movie enhanced the popularity of the "3 Idiots". He has also been nominated for the best actor in a comic role for the Nokia 16th Annual Star Screen Awards in January.
