Many people know Bollywood star Salman Khan as bad-boy but now he has become good boy. Salman has been awarded with bravery award from Anti-Terrorist front for his efforts to rehabilitate and educate children orphaned in terrorist attacks across the country.
In an arrangement made by All India Anti-Terrorist Front, Salman Khan said he would carry-on the humanitarian endeavor and “secure lives impacted by human disaster”.
The 44 year old star, known for his generosity and charity works, made the announcement at a function that he was felicitated with the Pride of the Nation award at the FICCI Auditorium on Tuesday.
Spreading the message of patriotism, secularism and national integration through his films, including his upcoming film "Veer", releasing Friday, the actor was honored at the Anti-Terrorist Front Veer Bravery Awards.
The award function was organized by AIATF. Salman received the award from AIATF chairman Maninderjit Singh Bitta.
Talking to the reporters the 'Wanted' star said, "It was a very different real-life experience and after witnessing the efforts made by the brave people, I have decided to join hands in the noble endeavor to help the affected children and other family members of the terrorist victims."
He also said, "It will be a priority for me and Mr. Bitta now to start a rehabilitation program for the orphaned children of the terrorist victims. The arrangement for their education and career will be taken care of by us jointly as part of our humanitarian endeavor and secure lives impacted by human disaster."
