Director Roland Emmerich has once again proved his metal with his new movie 2012. The story is written by producer-composer Harald Kloser and director Roland Emmerich himself. The story of the film also exhibits the struggle for survival of a divorced man Jackson Curtis (John Cusack) to save his ex-wife Kate Curtis (Amanda Peet) and kids Noha (Lima James) and Lily (Morgan Lily) from the disaster who lives with Kate's boyfriend Gordan (Thomas McCarthy). The cinematography of the movie is over dramatized. The thrilling scenes of struggle for survival are good but some scenes of destructions of great monuments like Eiffel Tower, White House Sistine Chapel and big buildings looks unrealistic. The grand monuments shatter as if they are made up of sand or paper. The back ground score of Harold Kloser and Thomas Wander enhances the trauma and thrills of the scenes. The direction of Roland Emmerich is quite effective and it adds dramatic effects to scenes. The script has nicely inculcated human emotion with the story of destruction. The story leaves effect on the audience mind. The actors have done good work according to their characters. Actor John Cusack has impressed the viewers with his powerful performance. Altogether the 2 hour 40 minute long 2012 is a must watch film. The film has been successful in creating a lot of questions in the minds of the audiences about the future of the world! |
