Michael Jackson took home two American Music Awards on Sunday night. The late king of Pop bagged posthumous awards for Favorite Pop/Rock Male and Soul/R&B Artist. Reportedly, both the awards were accepted by his brother Jermaine.
Jermaine delivered a short acceptance speech after receiving the awards. He said, "First of all, I would like to thank Allah, for blessing our entire family. It's not just about the winnings, the awards – it's really the message. The message that Michael had will live forever, and that's there's good in everyone. Start with love, and let's love each other… We love you, Michael."
At the start of the show, Janet Jackson payed a tributal medley to her beloved brother Michael and sang a new song. The medley consisted of several popular songs of Michael like, "Control", "What Have You Done For Me Lately", "Miss You Much" and "If". Reportedly, she arrived at a new track "Make Me" which referanced Michael's "Don't Stop Till You Get Enough".
The singer looked and sounded very strong and appeared in a brown and grey outfit. The award ceremony was organized at the Nokia Theatre L.A Live.
Reportedly, it wasn't the first time Janet had honored Michael, on stage. The star also danced on a medley of his hits at the MTV Video Music Awards earlier this year.
