“The Lord of the Rings” is the Best film of the Decade

Lord of the RingsAccording to a magazine survey, people selected 'The Lord of the Rings’ trilogy the best movies of the decade. The movie is based on the story of epic fantasy novel 'The Lord of the Rings' by Oxford University Professor J.R.R. Tolkien's.

According to the express.co.uk, 'The Lord of the Rings’ left behind the movies like 'Brokeback Mountain',' Gladiator' and “The Dark Knight” and captured the top position in Entertainment Weekly’s end-of-the-decade film hit list.

In the category of best album of decade, the Rap singer Kanye West’s 2004 debut "The college dropout" outshine dJay-Zs “The Blueprint” and Radiohead’s “Kid A” albums and held the first position.

"The Sopranos" became the best TV show beating shows like "Lost" and comedy news show "The Daily Show".

But among all publication's overall pool, the famous wizard Harry Potter topped the list. The imaginary character of J.K. Rowling's novel Harry Potter topped the Best of Decade list.

The poll was conducted in different categories which includes past last decade's (2000-2009) Movies, TV shows, Episodes, 100 songs, Characters, Trends and Books.
