Eminem, shady rap singer became decade's top-selling artist. He has sold approximately 32.2 million albums over the time of ten years. According to Nielsen SoundScan, he is the decade's most successful artist in terms of selling albums.
The rapper has released four solo albums over last 10 years (starting from year 2000) and had some serious competition with The Beatles.
The other albums which are giving Eminem's four albums a tough competition are single compilation "1," which sold 11.5 million copies. And the third place went to NSYNC's "No Strings Attached" which sold 11.1 million copies and set a one-week sales record in 2000 with 2.4 million copies sold on its release.
The 4th and 5th positions were respectively captured by Slim Shady's albums "The Marshall Mathers LP" and "The Eminem Show".
The decade's top-selling song list online was topped by Flo Rida's "Low" which recorded 5.2 million downloads. The song left behind other hits such as Lady Gaga's "Just Dance" (4.7 million), Jason Mraz's "I'm Yours" (4.6 million) and the Black Eyed Peas' "Boom Boom Pow."
The decade's most-spun songs on radio were Nickelback's "How You Remind Me," Train's "Drops Of Jupiter," and songs by Lifehouse, 3 Doors Down and Lee Ann Womack.
